James is an Analyst at Banyan where he is responsible for the evaluation and execution of new investment opportunities as well as managing various initiatives for multiple portfolio companies including industry research, financial modelling, internal reporting and valuations.

Before joining the firm in 2025, James was a Corporate Development Analyst with Definity Financial where he supported acquisitions and minority equity investments through financial and strategic analysis. Prior to this, James was a Financial Analyst at RBC Wealth Management and an Equity Research Analyst at Cumberland Private Wealth Management.

James holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Smith School of Business at Queen’s University.
